The Art of Hair Braiding has a long rich history dating back at least 5000 years with it’s roots of origin beginning in Mother Africa. The art was used in African Culture not only for Beautification purposes but was also held as a social event for women. Incredibly, this still remains intact to this day. There also have been rumors that braids were instrumental in freeing thousands of slaves through the Underground Railroad as the complex patterns were used as road maps and guides. 

As I mentioned earlier I have been braiding hair for the majority of my life. Through the years I have found the craft relaxing, therapeutic and exceptionally gratifying helping ladies achieve there Beauty desires. Furthermore it has been monumental in providing a comfortable living for myself and my family. With that said I have decided to pass the gift along to others who are interested in learning the unique craft of Hair Braiding.
